For many reasons; she made learning Spanish fun through conversation while still making sure we stayon track with the class plan. She answered any questions we had in Spanish nomatter how big or small and was willing to show us information that we wereahead of the level we were at just because we were curious. Plus, she wasn't afraid to shy away from slang in Spanish and the more NSFW topics. So, I would definitely recommend her especially if you want a fun bubbly teach who you can joke with while learning Spanish."

The school’s director Ximena, offers a variety of teaching techniques to engage the student and reinforce the learning. These include listening activities, dialogues, games and white board presentations. She has the flexibility to adjust the lesson to the individual needs of the student. The quiet calm of the Casa Mosaiko is conducive to both the lessons and the study that followed. Stepping out in the cool of the evening to sample the neighbourhood flavours gave ample opportunity to practiceour best phrases on the local paisa population."

"What a delight to wake up in Hostal Casa Mosaiko, located in the quiet, tree-lined side street in Laureles. This gracious historic hostel, located close to all amenities, also features an outstanding Spanish School, Casa Palabra. Ximena Castañeda, the school´s director, offered us a free introductory Spanish class held in the cool, bright inner courtyard. After experiencing Ximena´s lively interactive teaching style, we signed up for a course of study. Ximena draws on her extensive teaching experience in the Colombian system, in addition her international education teaching. Ximena is an excellent instructor, who weaves the student´s interests and experiences into her prepared lessons. In the cool of the evenings, we enjoyed walking to one of the many nearby restaurants. We found shortage of locals to practice our emerging Spanish with Casa Palabra, receives my highest recommendation as a Spanish school that delivers focused individualized lessons to Spanish students of all levels. Living in the tranquil Hostal Casa Mosaiko just steps away from the classroom is a luxury. This has been a wonderful experience."
